Defiant Disorder
Grunge, Medellin
Defiant Disorder is a Grunge band in Medellin, Colombia, born in late 2019.
This project is inspired by the Grunge sound of the 90’s, with melodies ranging from soft traces that explode into powerful sounds to fast riffs that distort with fury. Defiant Disorder’s sound is a mixture of influences from classic Grunge bands like Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains infused with elements of other genres such as metal and punk. The band incorporates tonalities that project a dark atmospheric ambiance into their music without losing the essence of Grunge, including notes of psychedelic rock to create a more surreal and dream-like world.
Defiant Disorder’s original lyrics focus on capturing visions of human beings facing adverse situations and expressing their compromised emotions.

The band has released an EP: “Exhausted” (2022), which includes 11 songs, Also the band have a LP Live Sessions with 7 songs recorded in differents sessions between 2022 and 2024. They have performed several shows in multiple locations in and around Medellin, and have participated in many festivals including Festival Ruido y Solidaridad Vol 3.
Defiant Disorder is currently in the process of composing new music.
